This lot features the stunning Muhammad Ali "GOAT" book (Greatest of All Time) created by Taschen Books. Four years in the making, and the most comprehensive study of Ali to date, GOAT tips the scales at 75 lbs and is 20" x 20" in size. It contains 792 pages of archival and original photographs, graphic artwork, articles and essays - many of them previously unpublished - which chronicle six decades of his life in stunning detail. To cap it all, the project takes place with the participation of Ali himself and those members of his inner circle who have been closest to him over the years: from managers and key cornermen to friends, family and children; from spiritual and other advisers to broadcasters, essayists and journalists. This "Collector's Edition" of GOAT is presented in a silk-covered box with the iconic 1966 photo "Ali vs Williams" by Neil Leifer which was awarded the title "Greatest Sporting Image of All Time". This book, which is individually numbered out of 10,000, is also accompanied by the photo-litho "Radial Champs" by Jeff Koons and is signed by both Ali and Koons. "GOAT" was created in 2003 and retailed for $6,000. This one is in perfect MINT condition and remains in the original box it was shipped in 8 years ago.
