This National Championship game ball is the 2nd most coveted KU signed ball other than the 2008 National Championship ball. This is the official autographed team ball sold by the University of Kansas Athletic department. This particular ball is highly coveted because it is issued by one of the most storied programs in college basketball and this particular team won an incredible 8 consecutive Big XII Conference Championships. This team also made it to KU's 14th Final Four appearance. This team played in KU's 9th National Championship game. This is the last team ball to be signed by Big XII Conference Player of the Year, 1st team All-American and runner-up for the Naismith Award (for National Collegiate Basketball Player of The Year), Thomas Robinson. This is the last team ball to be signed by Assistant Coach, and Jayhawk legend, Danny Manning. He is leaving to become head basketball coach at The University of Tulsa.
