This lot features a blonde Willie McCovey Louisville Slugger K55 block letter bat used by McCovey in the 1969 All Star Game in which he hit 2 HR's and was named the game's MVP. The 35-inch bat weighs 34.2 ounces and exhibits quality overall use with ball marks, ball stitch impressions, bat rack marks while remaining uncracked. The 1969 game was one of McCovey's most memorable games as hit 2 HR's while leading the National League to a 9-3 and being named the MVP. This is one of 2 bats that were ordered for McCovey for this memorable game. Signed by McCovey in black marker. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from MEARS grading the bat an A10. Also accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from JSA/James Spence for the signature as well as a COA from MAB as they conducted the signing with Willie. McCovey is a Hall of Famer and a member of the 500 HR Club. Incredibly rare and coveted Willie McCovey All Star Game MVP bat.
