House of David baseball broadside from 1928 advertising the baseball game played between the traveling House of David squad and The Colony Team in Perdido Beach, Alabama. The Israelite House of David was a religious community based in Benton Harbor, Michigan. They started a baseball team c. 1913 and by 1920 they were "barnstorming" around the country. They were earning money for the colony playing baseball and using the team as a way to preach to potential members. This attractive broadside display measures 11x22 inches and also features a nice team photo. Very popular amongst vintage baseball collectors, this piece has remained in nice condition considering it is 86 years old.
