Extremely unique Ty Cobb handwritten Christmas card (with corresonding addressed envelope) showing himself, his ex-wife, and dog pictured on the front with content written inside, "Melrose- I apologize, this is of me and former wife. I have searched for a Xmas picture of my home but this is a part of my home at Atherton- "I am having pen trouble"- forgive my former wife- She is strictly out but at least you can see the house- Wish you a merry xmas- Ty Cobb." Ty was obviously annoyed by the fact he could not find an appropriate Christmas card to send his friend that did not picture his ex-wife. His pen ran out halfway through the letter and he makes note of that. He even went so far as to cross off "ANS MRS" on the inside from the pre-stamped message, "Best Wishes FOR CHRISTMAS AND EVERY DAY OF THE NEW YEAR, MR. AND MRS. TYRUS R. COBB." Very unique and personal Ty Cobb item. Accompanied by JSA LOA.
