Stunning vintage 1926 first generation photo of "The Georgia Peach" sliding back into first base in Yankee stadium where a young man named Lou Gehrig resided. The 8.5 x 7" photo is exceptionally clear and remains in rather remarkable condition given it's closing in on a being a century old. The pencil notation on the reverse reads "Ty Cobb sliding safely back to first base as Jones attempts to catch him napping." There is a Culver Pictures Inc. label on the reverse.
