This lot features a Tris Speaker c. 1928-30 Philadelphia Athletics Louisville Slugger H&B Professional Model bat exhibiting outstanding overall use with ball marks, checking (grain swelling), repaired handle crack and back barrel. Rare, century-old bat of this Hall of Famer and 3,000 Hit Club member. Direct game use by Tris Speaker himself cannot be verified. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA- John Taube Letter of Authenticity. The bat also has a MEARS Authentication hologram (#302849). The bat was graded an A7 by MEARS but is not accompanied by the paper LOA.
