This lot features Thad Mumford 1960 New York Yankees collection. Mumford was the first African-American batboy for the squad (that didn't even have any black players at the time). This lot includes a personal letter from Thad to Janice, 2 baseball hats, white/blue Yankees canvas ball bag with baseballs inside and a blue and red NY Yankees bag. The bag measures 12x24. After his baseball aspirations came to an end, Mumford became a writer for television shows like M*A*S*H, A Different World and Roots: The Next Generations.
