This lot features a Roy Campanella 1956 Topps baseball card that has been personally signed by Campanella himself on the front in blue pen. Campy was one of the greatest Dodgers ever as he won 3 NL MVP Awards in 1951, 1953 and 1955 (The Brooklyn Dodgers only World Series Championship season). Roy had a near fatal car accident in January of 1958 in which he was paralyzed from the neck down and was forced into early retirement in the prime of his career. This card is unique in that it is was actually signed before his accident making it a very rare vintage Roy Campanella signed item indeed.
