This lot features the actual batting helmet that Rod Carew used during his 1977 American League Most Valuable Player season. This is a very rare one-of-a-kind #29 Minnesota Twins game used batting helmet. The helmet has been signed by “Rod Carew 1977 A. L. MVP” in black sharpie. This helmet is accompanied by a detailed letter of authenticity from John Taube/J. T. Sports as well as a full JSA/James Spence Authentication Letter of Authenticity for the signature/inscription.
