This lot features a Red Schoendienst c. 1950-51 game used and autographed bat. Hillerich & Bradsby model S166 Red Schoendienst professional model bat exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a slight handle crack. Some checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel. Several ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Also visible on the bat are red and green bat rack streaks. The model number (S166) is stamped into the knob. A Red Schoendienst signature is on the front barrel in blue marker. The bat is accompanied by PSA/DNA Authentication grading the bat a GU 8. Also accompanied by a full Beckett Letter of Authenticity for the signature.
