Nolan Ryan 1973 California Angels Game Used Jersey From Record Breaking 383 Strikeout Season w/ MEARS LOA

This lot features a Nolan Ryan 1973 California Angels Game Used Jersey. That year Ryan would post 21 wins, 26 complete games, an ERA of 2.87, and 383 strikeouts the most strikeouts ever recording in a single season an MLB record which still stands today. The jersey has "ANGELS 30" on the front and "30" on the back in red on blue tackle twill. The McAuliffe manufacturer's tag, 1973-year tag and size 44 tag are all sewn into the lower middle front tail. The jersey exhibits excellent overall use. The jersey is all original and unaltered with the exception of the Angels team "state" patch that has been added to the left sleeve. This is a modern, not period, patch. Over a record 27-year playing career Ryan pitched for the New York Mets, California Angels, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers accumulating 324 Wins, 5,714 Strikeout and 7 No-Hitters before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999.
