Official William Harridge American League baseball signed by 23 members of the 1946 New York Yankees. World War II required the service of many major league ball players from 1943-45. The 1946 season had special significance in that it would mark the first time in 4 years that many of them had stepped on to a major league ball field. Signatures on this special baseball include: Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey (clubhouse), Red Ruffing (clubhouse), Red Rolfe, Phil Rizzuto, Bill Wight (clubhouse), Charlie Keller, Tommy Heinrich, Randy Gumpert and Joe Gordon, among others. This treasure has been sitting in the collection of a woman in New York ever since her husband had it signed 67 years ago. The ball has remained in remarkable condition given its age. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the current owner as well as a JSA LOA.
