This amazing offering includes a Michael Jordan 1986-87 Chicago Bulls game used jersey. This home white mesh Chicago Bulls jersey displays "Bulls 23" across the chest and "Jordan "23" on the verso, all screened-on in red and black heat transfer identifiers. The Sand-Knit McGregor labels are located in the lower left front tail, for both Chicago Bulls exclusivity and size 42. MJ wore both 42 and 44 early in his career according to past exemplars. The lack of a year swatch or extra length designation should not be a cause for alarm as this format has been duplicated before on other known Bulls' exemplars from the period. The jersey exhibits consistent use throughout and has a non-malicious clubhouse version of Jordan's signature on the front in black marker. This style signature was common on late 80's Jordan items. and even passed prominent authentication companies until it was discovered that it was indeed his "clubhouse" version several years ago. Accompanied by a MEARS Letter of Authenticity. The jersey was inspected by MEARS on July 24th, 2020 and earned a final graded of A5. Jerseys 1987 to present can only earn "as high" as an A5 graded unless it is supported by provenance from the team or player. If this jersey were a 1985-86, it would have earned a grade of A10 due to year and the fact that it has no detractions, this one is a "perfect 5". Nice vintage Michael Jordan collectible.
