This lot features a Mark Portugal Minnesota Twins game used New Era hat exhibiting excellent overall use with #36 written on the inside brim in faded black marker. Portugal was a member of the pennant winning 1987 Twins World Champions and this is a rare bat he used during his time with the Twins.
Mark Portugal, a right-handed pitcher, made a notable impact during his time with the Minnesota Twins. Joining the team in the late 1980s, Portugal provided valuable innings as a starter and a reliever. His versatility on the mound and ability to pitch effectively in various roles added depth to the Twins' pitching staff. Portugal's contributions, particularly during his tenure with the team in the early 1990s, were a part of the Twins' efforts to remain competitive during that era. While he might not have been a headline player, his consistent efforts and adaptability showcased his value as a reliable presence on the roster.
