This lot features 22 signed boxers and trainers photos. These autographed items were obtained between 1980-2003 as part of a middle school social studies project. Teacher Doug Iscovitz and his class would write to various interesting/famous people throughout the United States and many of them responded by sending back signed photos and letters, among other things. The vast majority signed these items themselves. On rare occasions, they would send stamped (or secretarial signed) items, but the vast majority signed these items themselves and many even added a special note or inscription. They were very receptive to responding since the request originated from inquiring school children and the requests were received on school stationary. Accompanied by a detailed Letter of Provenance as to how the items were procured. Notable signatures include: Oscar De La Hoya, Doug DeWitt, Smokin' Joe Frazier, among others. This lot offers a nice investment opportunity with substantial autograph value.
