Obtained directly from the Minnesota Wild this Adidas White jersey was worn by Kahkonen during the 2020-21 season. Drafted by the Wild in the 2014 NHL Draft 4th round 109th overall, he spent the next four seasons playing professionally in Finland. In 2018, Kahkonen signed an entry level contract with the Wild and was assigned to the AHL Iowa Wild. During his time in Iowa he was named the Bat Bastien Memorial Award winner in 2019-20 as the AHL’s best goalie. That year he was also called up by the Wild and made his NHL debut playing in 5 games that season. 2020/21 he served as the number two goalie for the Wild and played in 24 games posting a 16-8 record.
