This lot features a 1990 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels NCAA Basketball National Championship 10K Gold Ring. This version of the Runnin' Rebels was one of the most dominant Division-I college basketball teams ever assembled. This is the same exact ring that was presented to Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony, David Butler, Stacey Augman, Anderson Hunt, George Ackles as well as Head Coach Jerry Tarkanian. The ring was made by world renowned JOSTENS ( Engraved: ©? 10K ). The ring weighs 37.0-Grams and is sizes approximately 11.75 to 12.25. It remains in NM/MT Condition and appears to have been only worn a few times. The Rebels defeated Coach K's Duke Blue Devils 103-73 to win the National Championship in one of the most anticipated NCAA Finals game rout ever. The Runnin' Rebels ran off 18-consecutive second-half points, to pull-out to a 75-47 lead with 13:17 left in the game. With 5-minutes to go, Jerry Tarkanian started giving his bench players some playing time, and still, UNLV set a record for the most points scored and the largest margin of victory in the NCAA Final-Four title game. The Chicago Tribune acknowledged, "It was a pounding, a hammering, a relentless force blowing aside an overmatched foe, and it dazed those most intimately involved in it! Duke head coach ~ Mike Krzyzewski looked like a stunned kid getting off his first roller-coaster ride!"
