This lot features a Cal Ripken Jr. c. 1983-86 Baltimore Orioles game used two toned model P72 bat exhibiting outstanding overall use with ball marks, ball stitch impressions, blue ink transfer marks, pine tar, white leather scuffs, very small handle crack (barely visible but enough to take this bat out of circulation after being hammered with use), cleat marks on all sides of the barrel and #8 written on the knob on black marker. The 1983 season in particular was a memorable one for Cal as he won the AL MVP Award and led his team to the World Series. One of the nicest Cal Ripken Jr. early career game used bats you will ever see. Authenticated an graded a perfect GU 10 by PSA/DNA - John Taube.
