This lot features an absolutely stunning original 1987 Minnesota Twins World Series Championship made by Balfour. The ring is made of 10k Gold and has real diamonds and weighs exactly 1 ounce. It was presented to the Twins while Jerry Bell was president (1987-2002) when Balfour was offering to make their 1987 Championship rings. The Twins ended up choosing to go with Jostens which is based in Minnesota even though many would argue the Balfour version was the more attractive ring. The 1987 World Series was a 7 game thriller between the Twins and Cardinals with the home team winning all 7 games. The 1987 Championship was the Twins first ever World Series victory making this ring even that much more treasured. The 1 ounce of gold and the 1 carat plus of diamonds gives this ring significant intrinsic value. It remains in beautiful condition 33 years later and is a size 11.5. Beautiful ring to celebrate the first ever Minnesota Twins World Series Championship.
