This lot features a blonde Adirondack Tony Oliva Minnesota Twins 1964 All Star game bat. The 35 inch bat weighs 32.4 ounces and has the model number 176A stamped into the knob. The 1964 season was Oliva's first in the majors and he began with a bang by clubbing 32 HR's, driving in 94 runs and winning the AL batting title by hitting .323. Oliva was named the American League Rookie of the Year in 1964 for his efforts. The bat was originally acquired from Tony Oliva himself by Ray Crump, former Twins equipment manager. Accompanied by a Letter of Provenance from Crump as well as a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. Incredibly rare and coveted Tony Oliva rookie All Star bat.
