Mickey Tettleton 1995 Texas Rangers Rawlings Big Stick game used bat exhibiting outstanding overall use with deeply embedded ball marks, blue ink transfer marks, bat rack marks, taped knob, light pine tar and #34 on the knob. It is definitely possible that Kirby took a liking to this bat and used himself either in batting practice or a game given Tettleton wore #15 and there was no other Rangers player that wore #34 in 1995. Kirby often swapped bats with other players after games and this was one that he personally acquired from Carter himself.
