Derek Jeter New York Yankees road gray game used jersey featuring "NEW YORK" on the front left chest and his number "2" on back sewn in with navy blue tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a "Russell Athletic" manufacturer's tag with size 48 as well as the 2009 year swatch. The 2009 Inaugural Yankee Stadium patch is located on the left sleeve while the 2009 World Series patch adorns the right sleeve. This jersey was worn by Jeter during the 2009 season with the World Series patch being added to the jersey to potentially be used in the World Series. It was not actually used in the World Series by Jeter. The jersey exhibits moderate overall game use. Rare opportunity to own a Derek Jeter World Series back-up jersey. The Yankees defeated the Phillies 4 games to 2 to celebrate "New Yankee Stadium" in grand fashion. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. Miedema concludes: "After a thorough examination of this Derek Jeter game used jersey, it is my opinion that this jersey is authentic as described and can be attributed to being used to Jeter during the 2009 season with the Yankees and prepared for, but not used, in the 2009 World Series."
