This lot features both a 1938 game used all-star game baseball as well as a ticket stub from the game played 82 years ago. The ball is an Spalding Official National League Ford Frick baseball which was hit for a foul ball & caught by a lucky fan during the 1938 All Star Game at Crosley Field. Remnants of a handwritten notation are present on a side panel. Given the excessive use shown it is likely this ball saw additional use after being obtained the original fan. The ticket has been ripped but remains in nice condition. The National League defeating the American League 4–1 with Johnny Vander Meer getting the win.
