This Spalding Limited Edition Lakers basketball was signed by both George Mikan and Shaquille O'Neal back on George Mikan Day in 2001 when Minnesota honored Mr. Mikan and created a life sized bronze sculpture to display in the Target Center lobby. Many former Minneapolis and Los Angeles Lakers players were in attendance to honor Mr. Mikan. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from a member of the Twins Cities Committee formed to honor George Mikan as these signatures were obtained by him in person.
