As exhibited by his superior play year-over-year, Jose Altuve has earned his place in baseball's elite due to his tireless work in perfecting his craft. As evident here, after the 2014 season Altuve went back to his native Venezuela and played for his national Magallanes baseball team in the 2014 Winter Carribean League, where Altuve helped the Venezuelan team earn a winter league championship.
Worn by the baseball superstar during his tenure with the team, this Magallanes jersey was donned by Altuve in play during the 2014 winter league. Unlike the MLB, which provides players new jerseys custom made to their liking, this size "Extra Grande" jersey was issued to Altuve and likely saw usage from other players in previous season. The jersey shows good usage as evidence in the puckering of the numbers and patches and washing wear is evident on the inside tagging. In addition to wearing the jersey, Altuve has signed along the back number in black felt tip marker. Obtained from a personal contact of Altuve who acquired the relic direct from the man himself. Altuve has signed the jersey on the back "Jose Altuve #84, Para Mi Para Salvador de Jose A." which translates to "Jose Altuve #84, From Me to Salvador Jose A."
