This lot features a Pedro Martinez 2002 Boston Red Sox Rawlings professional model PRO-2004B Heart of the Hide 11.5 inch fielding glove. This glove can be specifically dated to Pedro's 2002 season with the Red Sox. The glove displays excellent evidence of overall use. While we can not say with 100% certainty that Martinez used this glove (players typically wear their favorite glove for very lengthy periods of time), the fact that Rawlings only made 2 gloves per year for Martinez makes this an extremely rare and highly coveted collectible. Aesthetically appealing glove in that "Pedro Martinez" is embroidered into the outside thumb in red lettering along with the names of his children "Jerito" and "Nayla".
