This lot features a Ken Griffey Jr. 2008 Chicago White Sox batting helmet exhibiting quality overall use. The left-handed black White Sox batting helmet has the team logo decal on the front. The exterior shell shows several abrasions and scuffs from use and the backside has Griffey's number "17" applied in orange/white lettering above the MLB logo. The interior has full padding throughout. There is a Rawlings "R" affixed to the interior along with the warning sticker, Griffey's #17 in white numbering and size 7 1/4 designation in silver marker. Accompanied by a White Sox charity team Letter of Authenticity stating that the helmet was worn by Griffey on August 1st, 2008 in Griffey's White Sox debut against the Kansas City Royals.
