This lot features a two toned Cal Ripken Jr. Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick professional model CR8 bat ordered for Cal during the 1985 season. The bat exhibits quality overall use with ball marks, light pine tar, marks from donut bat weight and CR8 stamped into the knob. The bat was ordered for Ripken but may have also been used by teammate Larry Sheets as evident by the "18" written on the knob in faded marker. Very unique early career Cal Ripken Jr. bat from his 4th season in the big leagues. Ripken would go on to become a member of baseball's exclusive 3,000 Hit Club while also adding 431 career HR's.
