This lot features a stunning Los Angeles Lakers 1987 NBA World Champions 14K Gold and Diamond Ring accompanied by a letter of provenance. The ring has (5) 20pt. Diamonds, made from 14K Yellow Gold and measures to an approximate sixe of 10.5 to 10.75. A total of 1-carat in Diamonds, the ring weighs approximately 39.4-Grams. Original Manufacturer Markings: 14K ©? JOSTENS. The ring originally belonged to Pat Mooney who was a Lakers Executive and friend of Jerry Buss. Accompanied by a Letter of Provenance from newphew Eric Mooney. The “Drive-for-Five". The ring remains in near perfect mint condition. The Los Angeles Lakers 5th NBA Championship in Los Angeles. Their 4th NBA World TItle since 1980 ….stopping a loaded Boston Celtics team in 6 games. The amazing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar would turn 40 during the playoffs and Magic Johnson was voted 1987 Finals MVP. There are 10 Hall-of-Famers now, from just those 2-teams, counting Head-Coaches Pat Riley & K.C. Jones. The purple enamel in the “Lakers” as well as the red & blue hard-fire enamel in the NBA logo is typically missing from most of these treasures though this one remains very sharp.
