This little known college hockey team which resides in Michigan, packs-a-wallop when it comes to Division I NCAA Hockey. They have made the NCAA "Frozen Four" 4 times, winning 3 of them. This was Lake Superior's 1st "National Championship" (1988, 1992 and 1994), which took place at the famed Olympic Center, in Lake Placid, NY. This scarce manufacturer sample produced by BALFOUR, has all the proper markings stamped inside (LGB GTC) and is in beautiful condition. Overall, it's a very big ring, weighing a hefty 35.4 grams, and measures a size 10 on the mandrel. A beautiful, translucent blue stone is set on top, and their CZ studded anchor logo is mounted in the middle. Head Coach Frank Anzalone's has won more games (223) at Lake Superior than any other coach in their history, and his name is on the side shank. A really nice addition to any hockey collection.
