This lot features a pair of Kobe Bryant 2002-03 Los Angeles Lakers game used Nike Air Jordan shoes photo matched to a game played at the Staples Center on December 15th, 2002, in which the Lakers played Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill and the Orlando Magic. These are the only known photo matched Air Jordan's worn by Kobe to surface to this day. Kobe had 21 points 6 rebounds 8 assists and 2 block in the game as the Lakers defeated the Magic 107-84. The Nike Air Jordan 17's have been photo matched to this game by Sports Investors Authentication. Originally acquired by an LA Lakers source back in 2003. There is a Kobe signature on each shoe though the signatures weren't able to be authenticated by PSA. Kobe was a shoe "free agent" during the 2002-03 season and could wear whatever kicks he desired. Extremely rare and highly desirable game used shoes from early in Kobe Bryant's stellar Hall of Fame career. He was only 24 at the time but would go on to win a total of 5 NBA Championships with the Lakers.
