This lot features a pair of white Nike Air Jordan 17s worn by Kobe Bryant during the 2002-03 NBA season. During the 2002-03 season, Kobe did not have a sneaker contract and was free to wear whatever shoe he pleased on the court. These shoes' uppers are predominately white with black accents. The midsoles are black and white with copper accents. The soles are white, black, and blue. The manufacturer Nike tag is sewn to the inside of each shoe. The tag shows size 14 and the manufacturer date. Tagging matches other exemplars, and size 14 is the correct size for Kobe. Air Jordan logo is located throughout the shoes. There is a Kobe signature on each shoe though the signatures weren't able to be authenticated by Beckett. The shoes show evidence of game wear to what would be expected for shoes that have been worn for one or two games. Wear is evident in creases and scuffs on the uppers and tread marks on the soles. The shoes are properly tagged, are consistent with known exemplars, and show game wear. These shoes are accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Sports Investors Authentication.
