This lot features a Kirby Puckett c. 1988-89 Minnesota Twins game used bat. This Louisville Slugger model C243 Kirby Puckett professional model bat measures 34.5 inches, weighs 34 ounces and exhibits outstanding overall use. Numerous ball marks are visible on the right, left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. Cleat marks can be seen on the left and right barrel. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the lower and upper handle. Puckett's player number "34" is written on the knob in black marker. Signed "To Cam, All The Best, Kirby Puckett" in black marker. The bat is accompanied by PSA/DNA Authentication grading the bat a GU 9.5. Nice, early career Puckett game used bat from his only batting title season in which he hit .339 in 1989. Acquired directly from a former Minnesota Twins representative who worked for the team from 1985-1994.
