Incredible Kirby Puckett c. 1985-89 rookie era game used baseball glove exhibiting tremendous use throughout. Kirby used two gloves extensively earlier in his career and kept them upon his retirement and preserved them in heavy duty, sealed acrylic display cases. This is one such treasure. Kirby had this glove turned into a shrine as there is a signed baseball inside the glove proudly presented in an impressive display case. This isn't one of those cases where you just lift the top off. It's completely sealed and the ball is fixed in place. "PUCK" is written on the outside wrist in faded silver marker. We have provided a photo from Kirby wearing the glove in a game played in 1988 against the Milwaukee Brewers. We didn't want to take this treasure out of it's shrine as this is the way Kirby himself wanted it "retired" so we are going to honor his wishes and let the provenance speak for itself. Kirby kept this Wilson A2000 glove, along with one other, that had similarly phenomenal use. Another unique Kirby Puckett treasure.

** This lot originates from the personal collection of Kirby Puckett and will be accompanied by a signed letter of provenance from the Puckett family. **
