This lot features a Kirby Puckett Minnesota Twins 1991 World Series game prepared and autographed bat. This Rawlings/Adirondack Kirby Puckett commemorative model bat measures 33 inches, weighs 32.4 ounces, remains un-cracked and exhibits evidence of light use. A few ball marks are visible on the back barrel and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Puckett's number "34" and "WIN" are written on the knob in black marker. A Kirby Puckett signature and his number "#34" are on the front barrel also in black marker. This commemorative 1991 World Series bat has been game prepped by Kirby Puckett. The 34 encircled by "Win" is in the familiar hand of Puckett, known for his motivational notations on the knobs of his bats. We cannot attribute the light use on the bat as World Series game use by Puckett, due to its 33 inch length, which is 1.5 to 2 inches shorter than bats being used by Puckett during the World Series. Kirby Puckett has signed and inscribed the front barrel "Kirby Puckett #34" in black marker. The bat is accompanied by PSA/DNA John Taube authentication as well as a full Beckett Letter of Authenticity for the signature. Highly coveted Puckett signed bat from the memorable 1991 World Series in which Kirby hit a walk off HR to send it to a victorious game 7.
