This lot features a Kirby Puckett autographed vintage 1984 MN Thomas One-of-a-Kind doll. Martha Nelson Thomas was the original creator of "Doll Babies" and made them by hand and sold them at local craft fairs. She met the creator of Cabbage Patch dolls at one of these fairs, she briefly worked with him before he started his line of Cabbage Patch Dolls in 1982. When Cabbage Patch Dolls became so popular there was a nine month wait, Thomas started selling her "Doll Babies" as kits to allow the buyer to set up their own doll. This particular doll looks like someone sewed it themselves and then created the Twins uniform to have Puckett sign. Truly unique rookie Puckett collectible with an early career Puckett signature.
