This lot features a Kirby Puckett 1991 Minnesota Twins game used and autographed Jersey. The jersey exhibits light game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind aside from the 1991 World Series patch added to the right sleeve. This was added after the season. The collar contains the "Rawlings" label with the size "48" and adjacent is a white patch reading "91 2" which has been done in blue embroidered stitch. The numbers represent the year and set number, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "MINNESOTA" in red on blue tackle twill and on the back is a gray nameplate with the name "PUCKETT" in blue tackle twill. The player number "34" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are also made of red on blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Minnesota Twins patch and on the right sleeve is the "1991 World Series" patch. There is a black Sharpie autograph on the right front of the jersey. The jersey was originally thought to be an actual 1991 game used World Series jersey and was initially sold as such back in 2003 by another auction company (original materials provided). Further investigation discovered that the Twins equipment manager at the time had added the World Series patch on a few of the regular season gamers after the season had concluded. Definitely a must have, highly coveted jersey for any game used or Kirby Puckett collector. Accompanied by a Beckett Letter of Authenticity for the autographed as well as a Dave Miedema Letter of Authenticity.
