This lot features a rare 1982, rookie year, Kent Hrbek blonde Adirondack Minnesota Twins game use bat exhibiting nice overall with ball marks and blue ink transfer marks on the barrel and nicely repaired handle crack. On the knob is stamped the model number (422B.), batch code (371) and year code (2) indicating 1982. Hrbek has placed a fantastic signature on the barrel in black marker.
1982 was Hrbek first full season with the Twins, and arguably one of his best. With 23 HRs, 92 RBI and .301 batting average he finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind future HOFer Cal Ripken. That season Hrbek made his first, and only, All Star game.
