This lot features a shrine to 500 HR Club member Jimmie Foxx with an autographed and framed photo, 1942 scorecard and ticket as well as newspaper articles. Our consignors mother was a huge Jimmie Foxx fan and traveled to see him play in a spring training game back in 1942. She had Mr. Foxx sign a black and white photo in black fountain pen which has remained in remarkable condition given its 71 year age. The scorecard from the 1942 game remains unscored and in great condition. Other players on that 1942 Boston Red Sox team listed on the scorecard include: Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Johnny Pesky and Dom DiMaggio.
