This lot features a Jack Morris 1991 Minnesota Twins Game Used Hat from the historic season in which he led the Twins to their 2nd World Series Championship. The New Era cap measures to an approximate size 7. This style hat was made by New Era from 1988-1990. The New Era vented 6 panel button top Minnesota Twins baseball cap displays excellent wear. Slight staining, possibly from perspiration and/or hair gel, can be seen on the rear and inside of the cap. Thes cap is constructed of wool with the Twins “M” embroidered in red and white thread on the front of the cap. Morris’ bleeding player number (47) is written on the left rear headband in black marker and “Morris” is written under the bill also in black marker. The New Era tag, size tag and MLB Diamond Collection tag are attached to the fabric head band. The size of the cap is no longer visible. The 1991 World Series was very memorable to both Twins and Braves fans alike as the 2 teams battled back and forth the entire 7 game series which was decided in the last at bat in the bottom of the 10th inning in game 7. Black Jack Morris pitched an amazing 10 shutout innings in game 7, a feat which may never be duplicated again given today's era of specialization. Accompanied by a J.T. Sports/John Taube Letter of Authenticity.
