This unique offering features one of the hobbies most sought after baseball card treaures, the 1910 Honus Wagner Standard Caramel E93 card graded a jaw dropping SGC 88 Mrmt/Mt condition. The Wagner, along with the rest of the E93 set, was issued by the Standard Caramel Company. Its distribution with candy meant that many of the cards wound up in the hands of children, leading to their unfortunate demise and/or a significant decline in quality. This remarkable example celebrated it's 100th birthday last year and remains in unbelievable Nrmt/Mt condition with vibrant color, sharp corners and is centered 55/45 left to right and 50/50 top to bottom. The image quality is spectacular and is free of the ink spots typically seen on cards within this particular set. This is the nicest example ever graded by SGC and is the only one graded an 88 (Nrmt/Mt). PSA has graded a grand total of 1- PSA 8, 1-PSA 8.5 and 1-PSA 9. We have attached an image of the PSA 9 that sold for $218,550 in 2008 for reference purposes. The differences between these 2 cardboard treasures are miniscule. The current SMR price guide has this card valed at $50,000 in this offered condition and $220,000 in Mint condition. The offered card here is a "bargain" at a fraction of the price. This card collectors delight will likely be the centerpice of any collection for years to come.
