This lot features a rare and coveted Herschel Walker c. 1980-82 Georgia Bulldogs jersey exhibiting quality overall use. The jersey shows numeral scuffing, shoulder dings and has 6 team repairs as well as 3 small unrepaired holes. This attractive home red jersey has "34" screened on the front and "WALKER 34" screened on back. The Reeder & McGaughey distributor tag and Russell Athletic size 48 tag are sewn into the lower left front tail. The jersey has been custom hemmed as was the norm for Walker during his playing days with Georgia. We have attached photos of Walker in action while with the Bulldogs to show that the font of the "34" is correct and the placement of the Reeder & McGaughey/Russell Athletic tags are correct and visible in the photos as is the fact that the jersey has been hemmed. Extremely rare jersey for any Walker or NCAA jersey collectors looking for something unique and hard to find.
