This lot features a unique Gale Sayers 1969 Chicago Bears road white professional model durene jersey made by Wilson. This year jersey is especially coveted by collectors because it was the 50th Anniversary of the NFL as evident by The 50 year patch on the left shoulder. The Wilson manufactures tag resides on the lower left front tail. This unique jersey was presented by Wilson to the Chicago Bears as a sample of a possible style for that year. This particular sample was not used by the Bears that year which is why there is no visible use or wear. The jersey was originally acquired from a member of the Chicago Bears front office.
