This quite rare, 41 year old ring is in truly amazing condition, and is completely original, from over 4 decades ago. Cox played 15 seasons in the NFL for the Vikings, from 1963-1977, and was a "Pro-Bowl" kicker for Minnesota. Made by Balfour, it has all the original manufacturer markings stamped inside {BALFOUR 10K}, measures to a size 11 and weighs 32.9 ounces of solid gold (1.16 Ounces). The stone mounted on top of the translucent purple stone is a faux diamond. Possibly, this could have been a second ring made for Fred Cox. We have been told, if you can even find a manufacturer sample from 1969, that they had Head Coach Bud Grant's name engraved on the side. Truly rare piece of history, that would make a fantastic addition to your Minnesota Vikings, or championship ring collection.
