This lot features a black Derek Jeter 2008 Louisville Slugger signature model P72 bat measuring 34 inches and weighing 32 ounces. The bat shows excellent player use characteristics with ball marks, light pine tar, blue ink transfer marks and ball stitch impressions. The bat is accompanied by a letter from Derek Jeter himself (signed by Jeter) stating that he used this bat during the 2008 season. The bat has been subsequently signed by Jeter at a private signing with Steiner Sports in large, bold, silver marker, making for a spectacular display piece. Jeter remains one the most popular athletes amongst collectors. He is now a 3,000 Hit Club member, 4 time World Series Champion and first ballot future HOF'er. With Jeter announcing that the 2014 season will be his 20th and final season in the majors, we will see a fair well tour unlike any other in baseball history. Truly amazing Derek Jeter collectible.
