David Cone 1987 Kansas City Royals game issued road blue jersey features "ROYALS" across the chest and his number "13" on front and back, all in white tackle twill. The Royals team logo patch is located on the left sleeve. The jersey shows quality overall use. The nameplate has been stripped off the back which is common among Royals jerseys of this era as they were often recycled and sent down to the minor leagues. Cone played for the Royals in 1986 but ended up getting traded to the Mets in 1987 so he never actually played in a game for the Royals in '87. No one would wear #13 again for the Royals until 1991.
