This lot features a collection of 8 popular black and white George Burke/George Brace photos including Ted Williams with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig (close up), Lou Gehrig with Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle (2), Willie Mays (2) and the popular Mantle/Williams/DiMaggio photo. George Burke and George Brace were baseball's premier photographers, teaming up to establish a Chicago institution from 1929-1993. The tandem captured some amazing, historic images of the Cubs, White Sox and visiting ball players due to the fact that Chicago was the only city hosting both American and National League teams. George Burke passed away way too young in 1951 and Brace carried the torch until his retirement in 1993 to amass one the most popular collections of photos ever assembled to this day.
