The lot features a hockey lovers delight in this incredible vintage Charlie Hodge 1967-68 California/Oakland Golden Seals all original game used durene jersey. The California Golden Seals innaugural season was 1967 and there name was short lived as they changed their name to the Oakland Golden Seals part way through the season. The jersey is a first set California Seals that had the original "C" logo on it as you can see where the "C" logo was when the jersey is turned inside out. The Seals then adopted the Oakland name and changed logos almost immediately during their innagural season. This is an extremely rare and highly sough after jersey amongst collectors. The logo is incredibly detailed and beautifully chain stitched and the jersey still has the original tie in the neck intact. The jersey was made by General Athletic out of nice quality durene material and has the size 50 tag in the collar and company tag in the hem. The jersey shows quality use with puck marks, red pipe paint stains, a very nice team repair on the neck "V" and 2 huge team repairs on the lower left hem. The jersey remains in remarkable condition overall especially considering the fact that it is 45 years old. Accompanied by a very detailed Letter of Authenticity from game used hockey expert Rich Ellis.
