This lot features a Cal Ripken Jr. 1992 Baltimore Orioles Game Used Hat Worn on June 23rd For Career HR’s #268 & #269. Cal Ripken Jr. wore this Baltimore Orioles hat during the 1992 season, during which he played in every game on the schedule for the 10th straight season, was named to his 10th consecutive All-Star game, and won his second Gold Glove at the shortstop. This size 7 3/8 hat is all-black with the Orioles' bird logo embroidered on the front in orange, black, and white stitching. The green underside brim has Ripken’s number "8" handwritten in black and the date that he wore the hat "6-23-92" written in faded black pen. The white inner sweatband has MLB Authentic Diamond Collection, New Era, and Size 7 3/8 tags. The hat displays moderate game use with dirt stains and soil marks throughout. This hat originates from the personal collection of Cal Ripken Jr. and is accompanied by an LOA signed by Ripken.
